Is the future over rated? What ever happened to living for Today?
I think the world has got too focused on the future. Please let me clarify at this point that i believe to look forward to things is good, to plan things is good, and to be optimistic about the future is good, but I would say at this point that I thinks some people may have taken that to the extreme. A phrase my Granny used to say to me, comes back to haunt me time and time again. “Don’t wish away your life.” I think this is the point I am trying to make. Some people are so enveloped in the future, that they forget to live in the present and forget to live in the here and now!
I am really looking forward to going to Mattersey Hall Bible College, and it is only 10 days away now, it’s great. I’m really excited. But I am also loving being here at home, and enjoying the present. Sometimes peoples present is unlived, and when the get to the “future” they may wish they could go back and do things differently.
I hope this makes sense? It seems a little ramble(y)? I don’t know…just some thoughts I’ve had!
Mucho Love.
